Dr. Thomas J. Olinger welcomes you and your family. Our goal is to preserve your teeth and enhance your smile. We provide both routine and sophisticated care. Our office is state of the art and comfortable with a friendly and informative staff. Your health, safety, and comfort are most important. We use stringent infection control protocols, procedures, and products as mandated by OSHA, ADA, and HIPAA. Dr. Olinger is a general dentist who emphasizes family and cosmetic dentistry and is highly skilled in all other dental services as well.
We follow strict infection control protocol beyond the standard OSHA requirements in order to insure your absolute safety. Our mission is to provide the ultimate patient experience, promoting long term patient relationships through quality care, patient education and by extending our patients the courtesy they deserve.
Dr. Olinger has practiced in La Mesa for the last 28 years since graduating with honors from the Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1976.
He prides himself in being well versed in the latest in dental technique with a special interest in patient comfort and aesthetic services. Dr. Olinger also provides many dental services that are commonly referred out by many general dentists. This allows his patients a "one stop shopping" experience and can very often make the dental treatment more affordable.
Dr. Olinger also has donated his time to community service including volunteer work at the St. Vincent De Paul Center and San Diego County's "Share the Care" Program among other community services.
Dr. Olinger is a Captain in the Navy Reserve. He is presently serving as the Executive Dental Officer for the entire western region of the United States.
Dr. Olinger lives locally in East County with his wife, Nia and his two daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth. Service to the profession of dentistry has always been a priority for Dr. Olinger. He has served multiple leadership positions with the San Diego County Dental Society, including President in 1993. He has also served in leadership positions for the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
